At Your Local Bar

So. It’s late at night and you’re at a bar with your girl and Big Bubba has decided to hit on your momma. Bubba is intoxicated and really out of it and reeks of alcohol. You try to get out of a fight but Bubba just isn’t having it. He tells you “Me…and YOU…out back. RIGHT NOW!”  You walk out back to see Bubba standing there warming up. He looks kind of sluggish and is not keeping his posture. So if you ever, hypothetically get into this situation, here are a few things you might want to consider doing to overcome your drunken fiend.

Trip your opponent.

He being already intoxicated, it shouldn’t be hard to get a trip on him due to his lack of balance at this point. Usually when people get really intoxicated they tend to lose a lot of their balance. So get in close and swipe his feet out from behind him! This should give you enough time to get away or the impact of the fall for Bubba should put him into dream land for awhile.

Use Aikido and get their body weight off balance.

One main point about aikido is to use the force/energy of your opponent against him. So bubba comes on rushing in, throw him with some hand manipulations or some hip throws.  As he runs toward you displace his energy by getting your hips lower than his causing him to go head over heels down to the floor.  Or you can step to the side and put your foot out as he runs by you causing him to run past you as you close line him with your arm.

Go for the feet, it hurts!

One good thing to do is to go for the legs or feet. One good move which will stop him in his tracks is to use the heel of your foot and smash down on the top of his foot. It hurts like hell and he should fall down in agony. Another move is to round-house kick him on the outside of his thigh. It will feel like someone took a baseball bat to his leg and should stop him from moving so that you can pick him off at your pleasure. One good thing in a fight is to make your opponent immovable the less he moves around the better for you to either run away or make it easier for you.

        Stun them with a slap.

The grand finally…the SLAP. There is nothing more humiliating then to get slapped by a full grown man.  As he’s getting ready to throw a sluggish punch out there give him a big hard one right across the face. If done right he should stand there in shock for a brief second in which should give you some time to push him over and run or say “Ohhh!’ along with the crowd. The Slap is ALWAYS a crowd pleaser.

At the end of the fight Bubba should be on the floor crying or too embarrassed to finish the fight. This is when you leave or wait for some authority to come along to get rid of this big trouble maker.  So, the next time you get into a situation were you are unable to escape by talking with your foe, think of these small but successful moves when challenging your adversary.
