Kick his @$$ Sea Bass!
Wanna hit some one so hard their grand children will feel it? Wanna have the speed, accuracy, and power of the pro’s?
There’s no reason you can’t with just a little sweat, a lot of tears, and drop or two of blood…. from someone’s nose… after you punch em.
All kidding aside, here are 5 techniques the professional martial artists, and advanced tacticians use.
The key components of a gut wrenching punch are a luscious stew of strength, agility, intelligence and dexterity they are as followed:
See Their Ribs Crack, Hear Them Crunch.
Your match is won before it even begins. The key to mastering any technique that you will use in the physical world, is to delve into the mind with pristine clarity, and a clear intention to learn how to punch correctly.
Whenever you are trying to learn something new, always go over the steps from a 360 angle around your body, inside your mind.
Please try this visualization exercise in order to improve your imagination powers:
Close your eyes…. Now open them…. And read the rest of this article before you close your eyes….
Begin by taking 10 deep breathes… 4 seconds in 5 seconds out… make sure you count: one hundred one, one hundred two, etc to make sure you are inhaling and exhaling correctly, it is an important step to this exercise that your body be in a highly oxygenated state in order to facilitate mental expansion!!
Now, visualize yourself in a white room, if you want an example of this, take a look at The Matrix. This is a classic example of a “home room” or “start room” that you will be doing all of your visualization work from now on. I will elaborate on this room in a separate post in the future.
I want you to see your face as if you were standing face to face with yourself in this room, see every pore, every tiny delicate hair, notice the way that you blink, and the way your mouth moves as you sit idle.
As you look at yourself, try and zoom in on the base of your hair follicle in your mind and see the root that is sticking through the scalp, then when you have satisfied yourself, zoom back to normal view.
By now your should start to feel a rush of mental energy as your brainwaves speed up and your mental energy begins to oscillate faster… If you don’t either A: Your not doing it right or B: You’ve done this before and are accustom to this feeling.
Now we are going to visualize ourselves in a fighting stance, keep your hands up at head level, feel yourself loosening up your legs as you keep on the balls of your feet in a ready position.
Practice your jab a couple of times making sure to aim for the same spot every time, then repeat with the reverse punch, then do a jab and reverse punch in succession starting slowly and gradually getting faster.
Let The Energy Flow Through You
Your legs are responsible for generating the majority of the force that is applied when punching. Learning how to turn your hips over and pivot your feet is an INSTANT boost in your reach and power. Always make sure that you are aware of the balls of your feet pivoting while throwing your hips into the punch
Imagine the energy from the ground coming up through your feet, into your knees, through your quads, then up your trunk, and into your arm as you deliver than energy into your target. Imagine the energy as a yellowish lighting bolt coming up through your body and then out into your punch.

There is no shortcut to this one, good ol’ fashion hard work is the key to strength, stamina, and endurance. It is vital that you go to the gym and work on the your body. Hey look on the bright side, you can deck someone into next week… pff yea… best reason of all.
So re-capping from earlier, where does the energy come from when we punch? The LEGS… Which EVERYONE hates to train, and is why you should learn to love not walking for short periods of time after a killer leg workout.

Hey if you can’t hit em there’s no use training right? Let’s get your accuracy tweaked to maximize your impact.
This is where are visualization techniques will come into play. I want you to imagine yourself in a fighting stance in front of someone who you are ready to fight.
Begin to see yellow cross hairs target the different parts of his/her head and body that you want to hit, all time has stopped and you have as much time as you need… for now.
Once you are done targeting, think of each move that you want to execute to hit each target in the most efficient way possible.
Begin slow at this exercise, and progress quick in order to overlay this imaginary setting to real life. You will being to target people as you are talking to them, and just walking around in public.
This is actually a great awareness technique that can greatly enhance your alertness.
Use Pressure Points
Now that we have our punch at optimal speed, with a dash of power and accuracy, we want to know the best places to strike in order to create a lasting impression on our adversary.
The head is the first target of choice, this evasive and quick target is the holy grails of punching enthusiasts. Plant your fist on the: temple, eye, nose, or chin and you’ve got a guaranteed tear jerker.
The body is a large target that can absorb large amounts of damage, but once it’s out of commission the fight is over. Pop their ribs, drive a rib through their lung, and drive them to the hospital giving them a lecture of why they shouldn’t of messed with you.
The legs are a lesser thought about target and therefore are very vulnerable to attack. Giving a good boot to the knee or shin is an effective way to turn the tide of a fight and let them know your coming from all angles. Keep them guessing. Get fantastic deals on sparring gear!
