Sweep The Leg…
According to multiple resources, a remake of the old 1984 “The Karate Kid” is being made. There is a lot of speculation on how the movie will be made and if it will live up to the name. So far it seems like Will Smith’s on Jaden Smith is going to be staring in the movie. Not only is Jaden going to be in it, but there are sources saying that Jackie Chan is suppose to play Mr. Miyagi. This looks like an already anticipated movie that a lot of 1980′s movie fanatics will either enjoy or hate.
The New Karate Kid..Jaden
Originally the movie was being dubbed “The Kung Fu Kid”, but there I confirmation that they will keep the name “The Karate Kid”. Although there are still the same characters as the original movie, it looks like they are going to re-vamp the movie and change around the plot a little bit as well as the background. From what it seems it looks like it will be based in Beijing and will deal with the plot of Jaden moving there with his mother. While there he runs into a bully with who he has issues with and starts learns martial arts from Mr. Han (who is being played by Jackie Chan).
So what we can see is that they are still using the same plot as the original movie but with some changes here and there to give it a more 21st century look at it. It is still a long ways from being finished and in movie theaters but the anticipation is growing for sure.
