Pretty old video of Royce Gracie in a match against a kung fu practioner Jason Delucia. I have always wondered why a kung fu martial artist would go against someone who is a ground fighter. Kung Fu does not focus to much on ground fghting and is clearly weak on the ground. I guess the concept of the kung fu martial artist is to try to keep the MMA fighter up and on his feet and avoid getting taken down to the ground. BUT as we can see this does not happen and in most cases of what i have seen in a match’s between kung fu or any non-ground martial arts is that it most likely will end up going to the ground. It is very interesting to see Joyce Gracie in this match against this kung fu expert. Get a Sports Illustrated subscription to learn more about MMA.
