Here is a Student Creed from one of our dojos:
- I intend to develop myself in a positive manner and avoid anything that would reduce my mental growth or my physical growth.
- I intend to develop self-discipline in order to bring out the best in myself and others.
- I intend to use what I learn in class constructively and defensively; to help myself and my fellow man and never to be abusive or offensive.
Strength: Have the strength to do what is right in every situation, open the door for an unsuspecting stranger, say please and thank you even when not required, be honest in times that may affect your ego, this is what gives the true warrior strength.
Honor: There is a code that all warriors must live by, granted each warrior’s code is unique and different but they are all relatively the same, honor the traditions that your elders have worked so hard to preserve, make sure that you are on the path that you truly want to be on.
Courage: Defend the weak and defenseless, if we do not, no one will. Our world is full of self centered people who will trample over those less fortunate, it is a shame that our civilizations has evolved this way but it is a sign of our times. Courage is a hard lesson to learn on the path of the warrior, it takes patience, practice, and self analysis to truly discover what courage means to you.
Bushido: Self-discipline is one of the most difficult skills to obtain, to balance and moderate one’s self is extremely demanding during the time we live in which is the instant gratification age.
We hope that you take action in pursuing your dreams and find the information contained in this website to be fun, exciting, easy to understand, and most of all life changing.
